Three Lions on my… campervan!

Friday 22nd July 2016

Don Amott Leisure has found a unique way of celebrating the Golden Anniversary of England’s World Cup win !

The head-turning van is the work of Derby-based Don Amott Leisure Kingdom who work with CamperKing to create bespoke VW Transporter campervans.
Company owner Don Amott is a well-known football supporter and ex-director of Derby County and Burton Albion, so it seemed natural for the company to mark the anniversary in their own special way.

“We just thought it would be good fun,” says John Broderick, managing director of Don Amott Leisure Kingdom. “We like to do different things and have a bit of fun with our vans. We all love football here and we know that there are plenty of local people who’ll enjoy seeing the campervan around.”

There are other events taking place in Derby to mark the legendary World Cup win, including a celebration day at Derby Cathedral, which will feature a collection of World Cup memorabilia to which Don will be lending his Nobby Stiles World Cup Cap.
The camper will keep its new colours for the next couple of months. With the new season almost upon us, it would make the idea vehicle for the dedicated fan to tour the country following their favourite team.
